The Region

Talbot County is located in the central-western portion of the state of Georgia, straddling the Fall Line – meaning that the northern parts of the county are hillier than the southern parts. The county seat is Talbotton. The county is very rural, with many farms and wooded tracts. The county is also not very densely populated, with the 2020 census finding that there were only about 5,000 residents in the county. However, its close proximity to Columbus means that it is a good option for living within easy commute-distance to a larger city.

The Neighborhood

Although this property is listed as having a Shiloh address, it is actually much closer to the larger town of Manchester. This property is one of a few subdivided lots lining the west-side of Chestnut Grove Road, but most if not all of those lots are vacant. On the opposite side of the road are a few more established, rural homes. To the north is a large open field.
